So, here is a little bit about me…
I grew up not far from here in neighbouring Hertfordshire and took to tennis straight away. Playing from 3 years old alongside my older sister and younger brother, we were constantly training and competing together as we grew older.
My main training base was at the former International High-Performance centre – Gosling Sports Park, lead by coaches who I still talk to today and ask their input and advice. That is one of my main ethos’ – never stop learning. I’ve always strived to continue bettering myself in whatever walk of life I find myself in at that time. I am currently holding the Level 4 Senior Performance Qualification and look to complete the Level 5 in the near future.
As a player, I competed until my mid-teens when I was competing in local and International events playing against many of the top 150 players in the game today.
Having graduated in electronic engineering from York University, I decided to move and enjoy the outdoors and help myself develop other peoples tennis game. I really enjoy seeing that ‘lightbulb’ moment with my clients. For me, it is truly important that players of all ages enjoy their training sessions as this will also only enhance their development. I worked for around 10 years in Berkhamsted working with a range of players from tots, high-performance players to all adults, providing me with a great base for working with all players. Having now recently moved into heading up the coaching program at Chesham 1879, I am looking forward to working with many new tennis fanatics such as myself.
